Full Name: Adenar Marissa Black-Scott
Nicknames: Addy
Age: 17
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 53 kilos (I think, d**n convertors)
Hair Colour: Red/Ginger
Eye Colour: Green
Gender: Female

General Appearance: For someone with such a determined personality, Adenar has surprisingly soft features in her face. Her features all fit together quite nicely, though she is in no way a great beauty. She isn't the tallest person in the world, in fact, at 5'6", she's rather short but not short enough to be a jockey. She hasn't got much muscle on her, but she doesn't really need much muscle. Nicely thin, not model thin, but healthily thin. Her jodphurs are always black, white or brown, usually quite old, dirty ones unless she's at a competition. If she's not in jodhpurs, she's in some baggy trousers with either a dark colouring or an army print. To match, the top is also always baggy, whether she's riding or not, often plain or with a picture on the front of horses or some random scene. She wears her riding boots and chaps for riding, but otherwise, it's a fast change into her beloved trainers. She goes without make-p but has her fair share of accessories - two matching, plain black sweatbands on her wrists, a black bandanna and a single black feather earring when not doing work. She wears her shoulder-length, layered hair in a scruffy ponytail or just loose.
Distinguishing Features: Probably just her dress sense. Her hair stands out a bit, too, purely because of it's colour

Riding Experience: Has ridden almost half of her free time away since she was 7. She learned to ride at a rescue centre where she continued to be a volunteer since she discovered it. Has ridden all sorts, from tame ex-riding school ponies to bucking broncs to horses who wouldn't stop rearing. Even horses with back problems, which she had to be particularly careful with. She can deal with all heights, too.
Most Accomplished Riding Discipline: Showjumping (yeah, very original, I know)
Position They Are Applying For: Student

Personal History: She was born in a small cottage in the Highlands, hidden in the woods and ten minute's walk from the outskirts of a small village. She was the middle child of triplets. I won't go into the science of how her triplets were boys, but trust me, it's possible but very rare. After having the triplets, Adenar's mother never had any more children of her own, but adopted several more. Growing up with brother triplets and a full household had a direct influence on Adenar, and her mother didn't mind when Adenar tramped home with Khaytah and Dyakan, covered in mud and often with ripped or stained clothes. She always laughed and said 'you should have been born a boy!'
Adenar never minded being the only girl. In fact, she often seemed to prefer the company of the opposite sex, having grown up with them. When she started school, she quickly made friends with the boys and was merely acquaintances with the girls. Playing rough-and-tumble with the boys was her favourite game, and when the girls tried to coax her into playing with dolls, Adenar couldn't have been less impressed.
Naturally, her brothers would occasionally abandon her, saying 'boys only', and Adenar would often go to play on her own. Once, when she was on her own, she got lost in a part of the forest she'd never found before. A large dog appeared and found Adenar, lying under a bush, sobbing softly. The dog comforted her and soon the dog's owner appeared. He took Adenar back to his stables and nursed her back to health, while searching around the neighbourhood for Adenar's parents. They were soon found, but not after Adenar was severely bitten with the horse bug - she often came back to the stables, sometimes staying over for whole weekends. She become very good in a short space of time, and since the family who owned the horses weren't a riding school but a rescue centre, they welcomed Adenar's help and didn't make her pay.
However, all innocent children have to grow up in the end, and the time came for Adenar and her triplets to go to Secondary School (High School, for you Americans). In her first few weeks at the comprehensive, Adenar found herself confuzzled by skirts, baffled by make-up and just plain put off by certain antics of couples. Even though half the girls were horsey, Adenar immediately sought refuge with the boys, and was almost immediately accepted once the boys realised she wasn't going to be putting up with flirting and she was certainly none of the girly girls. She did, admittedly, muck around in class, but not as severely as the boys and in time she got herself good grades, and also made some pretty good female friends as well. One of these was Miya, coincidentally the neice of the man at the rescue centre. She also was seriously involved in horses at her own house, with her own horse, a serious competitor, and was at the perfect balance between girly and tomboy - no overdose of make-up, but not a complete pink-hater. Miya and Adenar would spend ages together, and through Miya, Adenar began to grow up and realise the female part of herself. She did take a little better care of herself afterwards, but she never really strayed to the pink side. Miya, unfortunately, was rejected by the CROSSrail project and Adenar sadly had to leave her behind. They still keep up correspondance.
Personality: Contrary to her dress sense, Adenar is not Gothic or Emo. She doesn't really give a d**n about how she looks, but she dresses how she likes. However, she's a very quiet and thoughtful person. If she says any straight facts, they're normally correct and true, otherwise she's known to sometimes speak in metaphors. She's very mature but not a motherly or big sisterly type. Very wise, but she's so quiet she often appears proud which is completely the opposite. She's very active and loves sport of any kind. She loves jogging, shooting, archery and swimming, and is up for anything sporty.
As a rider, she's another person and when any horse or rider is in danger she can become almost agressive, even to the point of near-violence - the most fiery and determined of the triplets (yep, she's a triplet). She's never actually hurt anyone, but she's scared more than a few people.

"Litaii to Adenar. Come in Adenar."

GO AWAY! Was the first thought to spring across Adenar's mind, followed closely by, Do you have to bug me every five minutes? For goodness' sake, manage without me for a bit! Grudgingly, Adenar picked up the radio, eyed it for a bit, then decided she would have to reply or they'd be suspicious.

"Adenar here. Hello, Litaii."
"You sound bothered."
"You would if I kept bothering you with every job under the sun."
"Hey, no need to be like that. I just need you to get to thegap in the fence and send up a flare. We've got the fencing guys in, they just need to know where the hole is. You just happened to be closest."
d**n radar. "Alright, Litaii. Jst leave it at that today, please? No more jobs until tomorrow and even then, not so many."
"Fine. Over and out."
"Over and out."

Adenar rolled her eyes and placed the radio back in it's place. Sighing, she whistled to Honey, who came running eagerly. "Honey, I can't wait til you're a Charizard." she muttered under her breath. The little Charmander couldn't really care less about evolving, she was more about pleasing people and doing her job right. This was ideal for a ranger's pokémon, however, Adenar often wondered whether Honey had a sort of brutality and willingness to fight that would also be invaluable to a ranger's pokémon.

Honey didn't scamper too far away from Adenar, not wanting to lose her way or Adenar in the vast park. Adenar didn't blame her - they'd only been together for a while. Her little flame flickered and bobbed between the hedges, scorching the edges of leaves but not setting fire to anything. For a while, she scampered off, leaving Adenar a little way behind. After all, they were nearing the gap in the fence.

Tucked away in the bushes, Honey sent up a flare, as big as she could manage. She rested for a little while, to catch her breath, then scampered back to Adenar.

"Char!"
"Good girl, Honey."

Now to wait at the fence. She wanted to check the fence for signs of anything moving in and out of the park. Partly to make sure there were no intruders, and partly to monitor pokémon.

She was to get a surprise.

Adenar stopped the moment she came in sight of the hole in the fence. Her stride took on a new, determined meaning, and the grip on her rifle tightened. "OI!" she shouted, making eye contact with the boy attempting to climb the fence. "Get out of here!" she shouted, gesturing away with her arm. She knew this hardly ever worked, and it sometimes took a lot of brandishing of her rifle to get people to go away.
