Behind Cross Rail Equestrian Academy lies over 200 acres of forest, mountains, and top of the range trail riding land. It is public property, but is open for riding 24/7.

Every weekend, Whitsby holds a horse sale for all types of horses, though mainly Olympic quality show horses. Students can come here and purchase horses once they earn enough money.

| One Day Spring Classic.
The One Day Spring Classic, or just the Spring Classic, is the warm up show of the Spring season. It is not high level competition, and is more of a practice show than anything else, but the jumps are high, and the dressage test difficult. This is the warm up event for the local international riders.
